More than five decades of competence

Today, KROMI Logistik can look back on a long and successful company history characterised by constant growth. Numerous milestones mark the development from a trading company for machining tools to a globally active expert for tool management.

Timeline

2023

Following the initiation of a squeeze-out procedure under stock corporation law by the main shareholder Investmentaktiengesellschaft für langfristige Investoren TGV in November 2022, the transfer resolution adopted at the Annual General Meeting on 27 February 2023 (squeeze-out in accordance with sections 327a et seq. of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG)) was entered in the commercial register on 27 June 2023. Since then, Investmentaktiengesellschaft für langfristige Investoren TGV has been the sole shareholder of KROMI. The listing of the shares of KROMI Logistik AG on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and on the Regulated Unofficial Market on 29 June 2023.

2018

Hamburg: TOOLING – ONE STEP AHEAD. With a new logo and claim, KROMI sums up its vision of itself as a leading technology company. At the same time, the company is strategically restructured into the four fields of competence TOOLS, LOGISTICS, TECHNOLOGY and DATA.

2016

Hamburg: The entry of the Investment Stock Corporation for Long-Term Investors TGV as a majority shareholder empowers KROMI Logistik AG to make new investments and offers promising opportunities for development. The Management Board members remain a decisive participator in the company.

Brazil: In the south of Brazil, the South American subsidiary KROMI Logistica do Brasil opens its third branch in Rio Grande do Sul.

2010

Brazil: After just two years, KROMI Logistica do Brasil expands by moving into a larger building and by opening a new branch in the Brazilian metropolis Sao Paulo.

2009

Spain: New establishment of the subsidiary KROMI Logistik Spain S.L. based in the Basque city Vitoria-Gasteiz.

2008

Hamburg: KROMI expands its headquarters in Hamburg by adding the neighbouring office and warehouse building at the address Tarpenring 7.

Brazil: Foundation of the Brazilian subsidiary KROMI Logistica do Brasil in Joinville in the federal state of Santa Catarina to initiate KROMI's expansion into South America.

2007

Frankfurt: The IPO in the Prime Standard on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange takes place on 7 March. The first fixed share price of EUR 22.00 is around 10 percent above the issue price.

Slovak Republic: Foundation of the subsidiary KROMI Slovakia s.r.o. with headquarters in Prievidza.

Czech Republic: Foundation of the subsidiary KROMI CZ s.r.o. in the Czech Republic.

2006

Hamburg: KROMI AG is converted into KROMI Logistik AG to prepare for an IPO.

2003

Düsseldorf: The KROMI West branch is established in Düsseldorf as a location for sales to the Ruhr area and the Benelux countries.

2002

Hamburg: KROMI Logistik GmbH is converted into KROMI AG, an investment company as Group holding to finance major logistics projects for the customer.

2002

Hamburg: KROMI Logistik GmbH is created as a result of the spin-off of a business division from Krollmann & Mittelstädt GmbH. The goal is to develop innovative e-commerce solutions and set up a nationwide logistics network.

2000

Hamburg: Market launch of the KROMI Tool Center (KTC). KROMI's first modular automatic tool dispenser hits the market. It has been constantly further developed up to the present as the foundation for modern tool management.

1997

Magdeburg: Market expansion is carried out in the direction of East Germany through the establishment of KROMI Zerspanungswerkzeuge GmbH in Magdeburg as the KROMI East branch.

Hamburg: Construction of the new company headquarters on the Tarpenring in Hamburg. The modern complex also includes the service point for northern Germany.

1990

Hamburg: The product range is further expanded by taking over the commercial representation for the companies Widia (indexable inserts) and Gühring (HSS tools).

1964

Hamburg: Krollmann & Mittelstädt KG is founded as a representative of Klenk in north German region and takes over sales of solid carbide drilling and milling tools. It thus becomes the original headquarters of today's KROMI Group.
