Bernd Paulini

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Bernd Paulini, born in 1962, is CEO of KROMI Logistik AG and responsible for Sales, Operations and Business Development. 

From 1990 to 2001 Bernd Paulini worked as a sales engineer for Krupp Widia. When he joined KROMI in 2001, he initially took over as Head of Sales and from 2002 as Managing Director Technology. In 2012, Bernd Paulini was appointed to the KROMI Management Board as Chief Operating Officer, and in 2018 he was appointed as CEO and Spokesman of the Managing Board. He has been Chairman of the Management Board since 2019.

Bernd Paulini holds a degree in engineering in manufacturing technology and machine tools (University of Dresden, Germany). 


Christian Auth

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


Christian Auth, born in 1978,  has been a member of KROMI Logistik AG's Management Board since April 2019.  In addition to the Finance and Human Resources departments, he is responsible for IT & Digitalization and Investor Relations.

From 2003 to 2006, Christian Auth worked for Ernst & Young Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft AG in Hamburg. After joining MAN Truck & Bus Group in 2006, he held various international positions. After CFO posts in Singapore and Eastern Europe, he was most recently Vice President of Sales Controlling for the Overseas Region at MAN Truck & Bus from 2016 to 2019.

Christian Auth holds a degree in business administration from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.

Supervisory Board Chairman

Ulrich Bellgardt, born in 1957, is managing partner of Unternehmensberatung ubc GmbH in Solothurn, Switzerland. He finished his studies at Clausthal University of Technology by gaining a diploma in Engineering with specialization in mining.

Mr. Bellgardt started his career in 1983 as sales engineer for capital assets at Gewerkschaft Eisenhütte Westfalia in Lünen. From 1991 he acted as managing director of Maschinenfabrik Scharf GmbH in Hamm for seven years. From 1998 until 2003 he stood responsible as CEO of Division Surface Technology of Saurer AG in Olten, Switzerland.

Since 2003 he is managing partner of ubc GmbH, a consulting firm focusing on strategy and performance management. Since 2016 Ulrich Bellgardt is Member of the Supervisory Board of KROMI Logistik AG, since 2018 Supervisory Board Chairman.

Deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board

Stephan Kleinmann, born in 1957, business graduate, auditor and tax consultant, is partner of Roever Broenner Susat Mazars, the German subgroup of the worldwide Mazars Group. His office is located in Berlin.

After studying business administration at the University of Mannheim, he began his professional career in 1983 in the audit department of a predecessor company of today's KPMG in Düsseldorf. In 1988 he was appointed tax consultant, and in 1990 auditor. In 1994 he became a partner at KPMG. 

From 1997 to 2004 he worked for Rölfs Partner (now Baker Tilly), first in Düsseldorf and from 1999 in Berlin; there he was appointed partner in 1999. From 2005 to 2022, he worked as a partner at Mazars in Berlin, and since 2016 as head of the largest Mazars location in Germany with around 600 employees.

Since 2016 Stephan Kleinmann is member of KROMI Logistik’s Supervisory Board.

Member of the Supervisory Board

Eckart Kottkamp, born in 1939, completed his studies in control and communications engineering at RWTH Aachen University in 1966 and received his doctorate in 1976. During his career, he was Chairman of the Management Board of Hako-Werke GmbH, Claas Landmaschinen AG and Jungheinrich AG, where he can look back on 17 years of experience as Chairman of the Board of Management and Management Board. In 1996 he was awarded an honorary professorship at the University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg. 

From 2006 to the end of 2009, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer AG, where he was appointed to the audit exclusion from the beginning of his work and has been its Chairman since 2008. Until 2022, he was Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Basler AG, Ahrensburg.

Since 2010 Prof. Dr. Eckart Kottkamp is member of KROMI Logistik’s Supervisory Board.

Member of the Supervisory Board

Felix Höger, born in 1973, founded Internet service provider NDH in 1995 while he was still a student. In 2000, he merged the company with software manufacturer PIRONET in order to form today’s CANCOM PIRONET. As one of the pioneers and trailblazers of cloud computing in Germany, he has succeeded in developing PIRONET NDH from an Internet service provider and IT out-sourcing/datacentre provider into a leading cloud provider.

Following the sale of his interest to CANCOM SE and the successful integration of the company, Felix Höger resigned from his position as Chairman/CEO of PIRONET NDH AG at the end of December 2014.

Subsequently, Felix Höger was Chief Technology and Operations Officer (COO/CTO) at QSC AG until December 31, 2017, where he was responsible for the Company’s realignment and evolution into a modern cloud service provider, as well as for operating the entire ICT and cloud portfolio.

Felix Höger possesses detailed knowledge of the German cloud and managed hosting scene, and practical experience in the digital transformation of IT/telecommunications provider companies. He accompanies many digital projects as a supervisory board member or investor/business angel, spanning profitability and risk assessments and the specific design of the business model, through to launch and successful establishment in the market.
